Got Neat New Plants?

The Beautiful Gardens™ Plant Selection Committee is looking for plant nominations for the statewide Plant Introduction Program. The "Plants of Merit" for 2009 & 2010 have been chosen. The plants to be promoted in 2011 will be announced at MANTS in January 2009.

If you would like to nominate a plant for promotion in 2011 & beyond or a plant that you have hybridized or selected for performance evaluation, please let us know. Would you have any questions regarding plant transfer agreements and related matter, please contact Dr. Rumen Conev.

The Plant Nomination Form can be used either for nominating plants of merit for promotion or new plants for testing. The Beautiful Gardens™ Program has evaluation sites in all climatic zones of Virginia, so if you have a new plant that the buying public would love, it’s a great opportunity for you to see how it performs across our state and compares to similar plants already on the market.

To submit a nomination, click here and fill in the form. Send it by email, mail, or fax to either of Linda Pinkham, Lisa Lipsey or Rumen Conev:
